Homeware Haul SS18
Happy Sunday! I thought I would bring something a little different to today's blog post. I am a bit of a homeware addict and would be completely broke if I had my own place, but at the moment I am still living at home with my lovely mom. My bedroom has always been a sanctuary for me, as I spent a lot of my childhood in hospital, it was the one place that I wanted to be completely for relaxation. Over the past 10 years or so I have redecorated a few times, but I can honestly say now that it is nearly at the stage where I am super happy with it.
I do like to buy new coloured accessories depending on what's on trend/season and because my room is mostly white, I have a blank canvas to work with. At the moment I'm on the mustard/gold yellow hype. I am a little obsessed as you will see.
These cushion covers really add a pop of colour to my bed as I have all white duvet and bed frame. Changing the cases alone is a cheap way to transform your room. I LOVE the cushion covers from H&M Home. Literally, I want them all. They were all around the £6.99 mark which is incredible!
I have been eyeing this mug up for a-g-e-s. If you know me personally, I am fascinated by Japan. It's my absolute dream place to visit/live. I thought this mug was super cute and it was recently in the Paperchase sale for only £2.50! I thought the gold writing went really well with my room so would look adorable on my desk. Unfortunately, I can't find it on their website so pop into your local store to see if they still have some!
I don't know anyone that isn't obsessed with IKEA. After a recent trip my mom pointed out this beautiful object. I was actually quite surprised that this was something IKEA sold. It reminded me of something I would find in Oliver Bonas or Anthropologie. It was by the fake plant section, but I guess it can be multifunctional. I popped some white sand and tea lights on the top to create a unique candle holder. This was only £12! I think this makes a real statement to my room.
Also another Ikea purchase was this stunning glass plate. I already had one in clear glass, but I thought this colour was really different and unusual. Once it is placed it appears a little black but in certain lights you can see the warm glow. On Ikea's website, it says this dish is actually a jewellery dish, so it's defiantly multifunctional, so if I ever want a switch up, I can.
As you can see, I'm even sporting a yellow shirt (courtesy of Zara). I hope you enjoyed this mini haul and if you would like me to do something similar, I would love to know!
